What are Bed Bugs?

Bed Bugs are reddish-brown, wingless,
six-legged insects.
Bed Bugs' bodies are flat, oval and about ¼ inch long.
When Bed Bugs have fed off the blood of a human or an animal their bodies are larger and darker.
Newly hatched Bed Bug nymphs are straw-coloured and are only the size of a pinhead.
Where to find Bed Bugs?
under mattresses and in mattress seams
in and around bed frames
along cracks or peeling paint in walls
in cracks and holes in floors
in picture frames
in the cracks of any wooden furniture
in pillows, linens and curtains
inside the spaces in wicker furniture
behind electrical wall plates

How to tell if you have Bed Bugs

look for actual crawling bed bugs or dead remains
look for dark brown/reddish faecal stains
look for small dots of blood on sheets and linens
look for the cast skins of the bugs
small, itchy bites on the upper body (neck, arm and shoulders) and sometimes on legs or ankles
